Counter-Extremism APPG

Note: This APPG was last registered on 5th November 2019. The APPG was not registered in the latest release of the 24th January 2024 and may be defunct.

To aid Parliament by alerting it to the dangers of extremism, helping to identify the implications of extremism and the responses society can take to combat its origins and effects, complementing the activities of relevant select committees, supporting the output of related APPGs, and offering leadership in challenging existing extremism, how it acts, and how it can be combatted.

Note: All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) are informal, cross-party groups formed by MPs and Members of the House of Lords who share a common interest in a particular policy area, region or country. APPGs have no official status within Parliament.
