This petition was rejected on 14th Dec 2020 for not petitioning for a specific action

The Petition Committee commented:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. There are already laws against dangerous cycling and cycling while under the influence (https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1988/52/part/I/crossheading/cycling-offences-and-cycle-racing) You could start a new petition explaining clearly what new laws you would like the Government or Parliament to create.

Roads need to be made safer for all users as they are now shared by more cyclists/vehicles/scooters than ever.Yet as a criminal/road traffic lawyer it`s clear that cyclists/e-scooters are not held accountable through lack of ID for dangerous activity on roads.Existing laws are arcane and so inadequate. There must be legal parity between two and four wheels for safe co-existence.I welcome growth in cycling - especially for health. But Government must recognise current situation unsafe and untenable
