Families with babies and young children migrating onto universal credit do not need to make a new claim for Healthy Start vouchers if the Healthy Start Implementation Unit receives confirmation of their migration to universal credit within 90 days. If this confirmation takes longer than 90 days they may need to reapply for Healthy Start, as with any change in benefits. The Healthy Start Implementation Unit provides support to universal credit beneficiaries when they are made aware of them.

Data on the number of families who have had to reapply for Healthy Start following their migration to universal credit is not available.
