Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what estimate his Department has made of the cost to adapt Shettleston Jobcentre to accommodate extra staff and customers as a result of the closure of Parkhead, Easterhouse and Bridgeton Jobcentres in February 2018.

We are not in a position to share figures relating to the cost of adapting Shettleston Jobcentre. This is due to commercial confidentiality pending completion of legal processes. We expect to make savings by merging offices through reduced running costs and making best use of both office space available and taxpayer’s money.
