El Salvador: Abortion

Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what guidance his Department provides to his officials in El Salvador when discussing the Government's policies on abortion with representatives of that country's Government.

The UK Government’s policy on abortion, as enshrined in UK law, is a matter of public record. We deplore and condemn the Government of El Salvador’s treatment of women who have miscarried. These views are regularly expressed at Ambassadorial and Ministerial level.​
