Television Licences: Older People

Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what the cost to the public purse was of providing free television licences to people over the age of 75 in (a) 2015-16 and (b) 2016-17 for qualifying residents in (i) Glasgow South West constituency, (ii) Glasgow City Local Authority Area and (iii) Scotland.
The table below provides estimates of the costs of providing free TV licences to people over the age of 75 for the years and the geographical areas requested, in nominal prices.
