Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many GPs per head of population there were in each of the last 10 years.

The requested information is shown in the table below. Since 2007, the overall number of general practitioners (GPs) has increased from 36,420 to 39,660.
