Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many females were in jail in England and Wales (a) on remand and (b) under sentence for the latest date for which information is available
This question was answered on 18th December 2017
On 30 September 2017, the number of females in jail in England and Wales on remand and under sentence was 575 and 3,350, respectively.
