Question to the HM Treasury:
To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, for what reasons tax-free childcare is not available for fostered children.
This question was answered on 8th January 2018
On the 13th December 2017 HM Revenue and Customs issued 18,000 text message reminders to those parents who needed to confirm their details before January to continue receiving 30 hours free childcare.
Foster carers already receive funding for the care of their foster child from local authorities.
