Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many 18 to 24-year-olds are in prisons in England whose addresses before their imprisonment were in (a) Ashfield constituency and (b) the East Midlands.

As at 31 Dec 2017, the total number of individuals in prisons in England between the ages of 18 and 24 with an origin address from the requested locations is as follows:

a) Ashfield constituency: 16

b) The East Midlands: 1,088
