Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what representations he has made to his counterpart in the Nigerian Government on recent violent clashes among tribes, herdsmen and farmers.

We are concerned by recurrent clashes involving pastoralists and local farmers. We have raised our concerns at State and Federal government levels and urge the Nigerian Government to work with the affected populations to develop a peaceful solution that meets the needs of all the communities affected.
