As the Prime Minister has made clear, the UK will be leaving the EU Customs Union on the 29th March 2019. This position has not changed. We want our future customs arrangements with both the EU and Turkey to enable as frictionless trade as possible in goods, whilst enabling us to exercise an independent international trade policy. Our trade dialogue with Turkey is focused on how this can be achieved.
