The Government does not believe that increasing the Immigration Health Surcharge will have an impact on the number of international students. International students already pay a reduced rate compared to other entrants to the UK and we are committed to maintaining this approach. An Impact Assessment will be published later this year when the draft Statutory Instrument to increase the surcharge is laid before Parliament.
