Question to the HM Treasury:
To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, how many small traders received an exemption from value added tax below the turnover limit for VAT registration in (a) 2015-16, (b) 2016-17 and (c) 2017-18.

HM Revenue and Customs does not collect data on traders that have not registered for VAT. They have not registered with HMRC and do not submit VAT returns.
