We are committed to improving reproductive health in England, including improving women’s access to contraceptive and abortion services and published the Women’s Health Strategy for England in August 2022. This sets out our ambition that women and girls can access services that meet their needs across their life course, that there is a system-wide approach to women’s reproductive health which supports individual choice, and women and girls have more of their health needs met at one time and in one place. The Women’s Health Strategy commits to encouraging the expansion of Women’s Health Hubs and other models of care which bring together essential women’s services, including contraceptive services. It also emphasises the importance of women’s access to safe, legal and regulated abortion services. We are considering the need for a further Government plan on reproductive health.
