Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, pursuant to the Answer of 27 February 2018 to Question 128092, whether it is his policy that contracts would be assessed to be of sufficient risk that Open Book Contract Management would be used in cases where the supplier of such contracts is a strategic supplier who has triggered one of the high risk criteria in the Strategic Suppliers Risk Management Policy.

The extent of the application of Open Book Contract Management (OBCM) to each contract is dependent on the risk and complexity of that contract, as set out in the OBCM guidance published with PPN 05/16.

It is for individual Contracting Authorities to determine in which tenders it would be appropriate to use OBCM procedures.
