Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what steps his Department is taking to increase tourism between the UK and the Falkland Islands.
Responsibility for tourism is devolved to the Overseas Territories Governments. The British Government supports strong cultural links with the Overseas Territories, which attract many visitors from the United Kingdom each year. The United Kingdom recently played a key role in securing a second commercial flight to the Falkland Islands.
