Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what estimate his Department has made of the number of (a) actual and (b) full time equivalent health visitors who have been employed in each of the last seven years.

NHS Digital publishes information on workforce statistics and the following table shows the full time equivalent (FTE) and headcount (HC) figures for health visitors working in National Health Service trusts and clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) in each of the last seven years.

NHS Hospital and Community Health Services (HCHS): Health visitors in NHS trusts and CCGs in England as at 30 November each specified year (FTE and HC).
