Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, which organisations have received funding to deliver commitments set out in the Prime Minister's Challenge on dementia 2020; and how much funding each organisation has received.

In 2018 we undertook a review of the progress made in implementing the Challenge on Dementia 2020. Respondents told us that we were largely on track to meet our commitments. In a small number of areas, additional or refined actions were identified to help ensure that commitments could be met. The Challenge contained the commitment to spend £300 million on dementia research over the five years to March 2020. This commitment was delivered a year early with £341 million spent on dementia research over the four years to 31 March 2019.
