Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, with reference to oral evidence provided by the Under-Secretary of State to the Education Select Committee on 14 March 2018, whether the review of 30 hours of funded childcare will include eligibility criteria.

The Department for Education has commissioned an independent evaluation of the first year of delivery of 30 hours free childcare. This is due to be published in the summer and we will use the evidence from the report to inform the future delivery of the programme.
