Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, how many people received reliefs with tax expenditure and structural components on exemption of British Government securities where owner not ordinarily resident in UK in (a) 2015-16, (b) 2016-17 and (c) 2017-18.

This information is not available. HMRC publish estimates of the value of this relief in the “Estimated Costs of Tax Reliefs” publication, but these are constructed from aggregate financial data which does not contain information on the number of individuals.
