Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many trials for fraud offences were prosecuted in the (a) Crown and (b) Magistrates’ Court in each quarter since the end of September 2017.

The Ministry of Justice publishes information on the number of defendants prosecuted for fraud offences at all courts in England and Wales, between July 2017 and June 2022, in the Outcomes by Offence data tool: June 2022.

All prosecutions are recorded at magistrates’ courts.
