Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many (a) offences in West Yorkshire were committed by offenders on bail and (b) offenders in West Yorkshire committed offences while on bail during the most recent year for which information is available.

The most recent year for which information is available is 2016.The attached table provides information on (a) the total number of offences for which offenders were convicted or cautioned while on bail by the West Yorkshire police force and (b) the total number of offenders convicted or cautioned while on bail by the West Yorkshire police force.

This data may indicate that from 2012 to 2016 there was a decrease in the numbers of offences committed by offenders on bail in West Yorkshire.
