The number of new entrants to primary and secondary schools in England is published in Table 7b of the publication School Workforce in England 2016 which can be found at:

https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/school-workforce-in-england-november-2016.

This information is national level only and covers the years 2011 to 2016.

Information on the regional trends in entrant rates for state funded schools is available as part of the publication, Local Analysis of Teacher Workforce: 2010 to 2015 which is available here:

https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/local-analysis-of-teacher-workforce-2010-to-2015.

Information for primary schools is available in Table 2.3a; information for secondary schools is available in Table 2.3b. Figures are given for the years 2011 to 2015. Information for 2016 on regional rates for teacher entrants is not yet available.
