As of 3 April 2022, 33,580 individuals have expressed an interest in joining the magistracy as a result of the recent national recruitment campaign.

93% of expressions provided full demographic data. Of this data, 7% were aged 30 and under, and 24% were under the age of 40 up to 11 March 2022.

Of 33,580 expressions of interest 99% disclosed their ethnicity, of this 25% of those who have expressed an interest were Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic.

We do not ask applicants their employment status for registers of interest.
