The Government Transformation Strategy is a cross-government programme of work that touches on all aspects of digital transformation. We estimate that there are approximately 17,000 Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) professionals employed across government and directly supporting delivery of the strategy, in addition to a significant number of non-DDaT civil servants working on related activities.
