Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many and what proportion of instances of domestic abuse recorded by the police resulted in a prosecution in each of the last three years.
The Office for National Statistics publishes information on the number of domestic abuse-related offences recorded by the police in England and Wales and the number of domestic abuse prosecutions.
However, it is not possible to link police recorded offences to prosecutions data as they are collected on a separate basis.
