Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what estimate he has made of the number of claimants of (a) employment support allowance and (b) personal independence payment that were refused an assessment as a result of abusive behaviour that did not subsequently complete an application.

No claimant is refused the opportunity of having an assessment as a result of abusive behaviour. However, if during an assessment a claimant does not cooperate, for example by being abusive, then the assessment can/may be terminated
