Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether she is taking steps to allow enabling school-children with non-EU passports who are travelling from the EU to the UK on school trips to enter the UK without the requirement to pay for a visa.

All visitors are expected to hold a passport. Visit visas are required only for citizens of certain countries. The details of those countries are publicly available: UK visa requirements (publishing.service.gov.uk).

At the summit in Paris on 10 March 2023 the UK committed to ease the travel of school groups to the UK by making changes to documentary requirements for schoolchildren on organised trips from France.

We are currently considering the details and implications of implementing this commitment.
