Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:
To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, what estimate has been made of the potential sum accrued to the public purse from ending beneficial business rates status given to charitable schools in (a) 2017-18, (b) 2018-19, (c) 2019-20, (d) 2020-21 and (e) 2021-22.
This question was answered on 6th July 2017
The Department for Communities and Local Government has not undertaken an estimate of the amount of business rates relief provided to schools with charitable status for the periods set out.
