Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, whether the sittings of domestic violence cases in Magistrates' Courts in England and Wales are arranged to enable independent domestic violence advisors to be in attendance as required.

Listing of cases is the responsibility of the Judiciary, however in magistrates’ courts domestic violence cases are often listed together to enable Independent Domestic Violence Advisers to be available to support victims of domestic violence at court hearings.
