Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many rural GP surgeries have fewer than 1,000 patients registered.

The requested information is not collected centrally in the requested format. There were 45 general practitioner practices in England on 30 September 2013 with less than 1,000 patients registered to them. The Health and Social Care Information Centre does not hold data on whether the practices are rural or not.
