Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how much (a) his Department, (b) NHS England and (c) Public Health England spent on opinion polling and focus groups in 2013-14.

The Department has funded opinion polling and focus groups, but extracting the amount of spend could only be done at disproportionate cost.

NHS England’s complete spend can only be provided at disproportionate cost. Figures for separately identified work programmes are available in the following table.

Public Health England spent an overall £54,000 on opinion polling groups and a total of £4,350 on focus groups in 2013-14.
