Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what the cost to the public purse has been to date of the contracts recently awarded by his Department to (a) DFDS, (b) Seaborne Freight and (c) Brittany Ferries for roll-on roll-off freight ferry services in the event of the UK leaving the EU without a deal.

No payments have been made to operators for the provision of ferry services. No payments for services will be made until such services are provided.
