We are advised by NHS Blood and Transplant that, as at 24 July 2014, there were 72 patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis resident in England and Wales considered eligible for lung transplantation and currently listed for a lung transplant (where the primary disease is recorded as fibrosing lung disease).
