As the Prime Minister, my Rt. Hon. Friend the Member for Witney (Mr Cameron) set out in his statement of 1 September, the Government will use all the resources at our disposal to tackle the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). This includes providing equipment to support Kurdistan Regional Government forces fighting against ISIL.

The UK has also delivered airdrops to support those trapped by ISIL, and has committed £23m of humanitarian assistance to help those who have fled ISIL’s advances. The RAF have also been carrying out surveillance flights.
