Question to the Northern Ireland Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, what discussions she had with US Senator Gary Hart when he visited Northern Ireland in the last week of August 2014; and what the subjects were for discussion.
This question was answered on 8th September 2014
Senator Hart and I discussed a range of issues as part of his recent visit. I made clear to him that the Government is pressing for a resumption of all-party talks on flags, parades and the past, and that we want to see progress on implementation of welfare reform.
