Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what recent estimate his Department has made of the projected expenditure for the Cancer Drugs Fund for the next financial year.

We understand that NHS England expects expenditure for the Cancer Drugs Fund during 2014-15 will exceed the budget of £280 million. NHS England will continue to closely monitor and review both spend in 2014-15 and projections for 2015-16.
