For 2014-15 Blackpool Unitary Authority has received £23,000 and Lancashire County Council has received £316,000 from Defra to meet their responsibilities under the Flood and Water Management Act. Additional revenue funding is also provided by the Department for Communities and Local Government for the same purpose, through the local government finance settlement. The funding is not ring-fenced.
