Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what steps he is taking to ensure that benefit claimants who are sanctioned receive a written notification of the sanction before their benefit payment is withdrawn.

We recently reintroduced automated sanction notifications (from Monday 23^rd November 2015) to ensure that all claimants who are sanctioned receive a written notification of the sanction.
