The Government’s ‘Hands. Face. Space. Fresh Air’ campaign delivers advice on behaviours to help stop the spread of COVID-19 which includes meeting others outside and the importance of ventilation when meeting others inside. The advice ‘Ventilation of indoor spaces to stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19)’ is available at the following link:

There have been regular discussions with Cabinet colleagues infection prevention controls and social distancing measures to limit transmission, which includes ventilation.

The Government has established a programme to consider how to improve CO2 monitoring and ventilation across public and private sector buildings to help limit transmission in the autumn and winter and improve long-term pandemic resilience.
