Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, whether he plans to put in place a protocol to ensure that there is no contact between British embassy staff in Beirut and Hezbollah Ministers in the Government of Lebanon; and if he will make a statement.

We have had a no-contact policy with the entirety of Hizballah for a number of years. The Home Secretary made clear this position in a Parliamentary debate on 26 February.
