Since taking office, my right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State for Education has had two bi-lateral meetings with the National Association of Headteachers (NAHT) and attended NAHT’s annual conference in May 2018. Department for Education officials meet all the teacher and head teacher unions, including NAHT, every month. The Secretary of State has attended these meetings on two occasions. During this period, I have also met NAHT, as has my noble Friend, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the School System and my hon. Friend, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Children and Families.
