Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, pursuant to the Answer of 7 March 2019 to Question 226647 on Medical Treatments, from which budget would an increase to the list price of a branded medicine be met in the event that his Department agreed such an increase.

In such an event, an increase in the list price of a branded medicine cost would be borne by clinical commissioning groups who receive prescribing funding as part of the annual allocations process from NHS England.
