HMRC does not hold information on the amount spent on tribunal costs in a manner where it can be specifically attributed to the cost of taxation tribunals.

The overall costs incurred by HMRC in litigation activities is a combination of directly attributable costs (such as the cost incurred by its Legal Department) and indirect costs (such as cost incurred by HMRC witnesses). HMRC does not hold information on the amount spent on these activities in a manner where it can be specifically attributed to the cost of tribunals alone.
