The UK continues to be seriously concerned by Iran’s human rights record, including the recent sentencing of Aras Amiri. We are working closely with the British Council to understand the situation further. We regularly raise human rights with the Iranian authorities at all levels and we continue to take action with the international community to press Iran to improve its poor record on all human rights issues.
