Ministers have regular meetings with the Mayor of London and the Minister for London to discuss a range of matters.

I also responded to a letter of 30 April 2019 from the Mayor and a London Assembly Member who enquired about the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) proposals, providing contact details of officials in the MCA should they require further information.

The MCA consulted upon an impact assessment during a public consultation which ran from 6 November 2018 to 29 January 2019, and again on policy and legislation from 29 May to 10 July 2019. Consultees were invited to comment on the validity of the analysis in the impact assessment and encouraged to provide information that would help to strengthen this. The impact assessment has been updated to reflect the range of further information provided through consultee feedback.
