The post of Children’s Commissioner for England is independent of Government and reports directly to Parliament as set out in the Children Act 2004 and the Children and Families Act 2014. The relationship between the Department and the Children’s Commissioner is set out in a Framework Agreement, which is available on the Office of the Children’s Commissioner’s Website at https://www.childrenscommissioner.gov.uk/report/other-report-3/.

A copy is also held in the Parliamentary Library.
