The new drinking guidelines are included in a range of public health messaging, including ‘One You’ and ‘NHS Choices’ to encourage the public to drink within the Chief Medical Officers’ guidelines.

The Government has also published guidance to the alcohol industry on how the UK Chief Medical Officers’ low risk drinking guidelines can be communicated to the public, for example through product labelling, and is working with representatives of the alcohol industry to promote the implementation of this guidance.
