Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment his Department has made of the potential effect of London Ambulance Service proposals to replace 68 ambulance stations with 18 ambulance deployment hubs on (a) patient care and (b) response times.
No such assessment has been made. The London Ambulance Service (LAS) advises that it is at an early stage in developing its estates strategy, including understanding how any changes would impact patient care. The LAS will engage with the public and stakeholders on any proposed changes.
